Fire Shrimp

This reef safe shrimp is also known as the Blood Red Fire Shrimp or Scarlet Cleaner Shrimp. It is generally hardy and tolerant of its own kind and other shrimp provided ample territories and caves are available. It can be secretive during its first few weeks in the aquarium but eventually will be become more bold and often establishes a cleaning station where it offers its services to many species of reef fishes. As with most shrimp and crabs it will not tolerate copper or poor water quality and proper levels of iodine should be maintained in order for proper molting to take place.
