Blue Throat Trigger Male Sm/Md

The Blue Throat Trigger (Xanthichthys auromarginatus) is an easy to keep fish that is reef safe with caution. It needs a 125+ gallon aquarium, when full grown. The aquarium should have lots of rock to hide in, and plenty of space to swim around. The diet of this fish should contain meaty foods like squid, krill, clams, small fish and hard shelled shrimp to help wear down their constantly growing teeth. Most Triggers develop some degree of aggressive behavior, and should be kept with other boisterous fish that can compete for their share at feeding time. The Blue Throat Trigger is one of the least aggressive Triggers. In a reef setting, it might eat tiny hermits, snails, and other small crustaceans. Max size is around 9". Shipping size Sm/Md 2 - 3".
