Scopas Tang

The Scopas Tang (Zebrasoma scopas) is a coral safe fish that can be aggressive towards its own kind and possibly other Tangs. It needs a 60"+/125+ gallon aquarium, when full grown. The aquarium should have lots of rock to hide in, and plenty of space to swim around. The diet of this fish should contain a large amount of marine based seaweed and algae. Scopas Tangs will eat meaty foods, but frequent feedings of dried seaweed products like Sea Veggies or Seaweed Select are required for long term success.  Rods & LRS Herbivore formulas are excellent options to supplement their diet with. Since Tangs are more susceptible to lateral line disease, fin erosion, Ich and other skin parasites, more attentive care is required. Ensure you maintain the highest water quality, and offer a varied diet, rich in nutritious marine-based algae, and soaked in vitamins, to keep your Tang in optimal health. Max size is around 12".
